Do you know your Peltigeras from your Cladonias? If not, Craig Postlethwaite has written up a report on the lichen walk he led for PNHS members on 26 February.
For those who weren’t able to come along, or for those of us who did but didn’t catch all the names, Craig has provided a species list for the day and descriptions with photographs of some of the lichens encountered. The walk proved very popular with fourteen people turning up to learn more about lichens and we weren’t disappointed. The weather was fine and it was a fabulous walk thoroughly enjoyed by all. Many thanks to Craig for sharing his expertise with us and writing up the report.
