Kirsty Menzies is leading this bioblitz in collaboration with Glasgow City Council Rangers and Glasgow Natural History Society.
We will be recording wildlife in the woodlands, ponds and grasslands around Hurlethill Local Nature Reserve. Anyone is welcome to come along and join in, experts and amateur alike. Come for the full day or just part of the day and bring your handlenses, nets and field guides if you have them.
Some rough, uneven ground with short steep inclines. Walking boots or wellies are best. Bring a packed lunch and dress for the weather.
Meet for 10am at the Reserve entrance on Faskin Road, Glasgow G53 7EY (as shown by the orange marker on the map). NS 5155 6120. On-street parking is best on the section of Faskin Road that runs along the edge of the reserve.
Contact us to let us know you are coming and for further information. Lifts from Paisley available on request.
This outing is weather dependent and a final decision will be made on Thursday morning if it will go ahead as planned.
