Tom Byars is leading this walk along the Ayr coast. We are primarily looking for Lesser Whitethroat but hopefully a few other summer migrants along this coastline. Spring migration is at its peak, so we could encounter Whitethroat, Sedge Warbler, Blackcap, even on the beach it’s possible to see Wheatear, White Wagtail and maybe Whimbrel. This Hawthorn /Blackthorn scrub also has Holly Blue butterflies. Hopefully the weather will ideal to see them.
Meet in the Greenan Road car park, Doonfoot, Ayr KA7 4JT for 10.00 am. Grid ref NS31721933 (as shown by the orange marker on the map).
